Since moving to Hong Kong in January, we’ve been pretty bummed we haven’t been able to travel around Asia like we planned. So many of our trips we planned have had to be postponed due to the pandemic and flight restrictions. So we’ve decided to just spend our time here in Hong Kong being tourists and enjoying this amazing city!
Mong Kok is the busiest and most densely populated part of Hong Kong. It’s so crowded! We were a little nervous to bring the kids here because it’s so crowded but everyone wore masks and it wasn’t as crowded as it usually is since Hong Kong is still not allowing tourists in right now. We had the best day exploring all the street markets that sell knock-off-anything, nicknacks, toys, clothes, shoes, pretty much anything. I love showing our kids other cultures and it was fun to see all the neat things these vendors had. We had fun just exploring the different streets and I think the only thing we ended up buying was a princess dress for Olivia. She was so excited! It was nice to give some business to these local vendors who have had such a rough time this year without any tourists visiting. We’ll be sure to go back again!
