This pic is just so bittersweet. It’s an end to this chapter of our lives. Tomorrow is a new day and the beginning of the next chapter. I always want to remember their little faces in our first home together as a family. I know next time we see this place the girls will be bigger and things will look a lot different than they do today. I’m so thankful I grabbed this quick pic of them before we grabbed the last of our suitcases and loaded up in our rental car on our way to our hotel in LA for the night before flying out to Hong Kong in the morning. It’s been an exhausting day with lots of movers in and out of the house loading up our container for shipping overseas, another truck load of things going to storage, and the rest of our things in 4 suitcases to get us by until our shipment arrives in Hong Kong in 6-8 weeks. We are beyond exhausted doing this move with no help from family and completely on our own. Thank goodness for a few good friends today. One girlfriend was able to watch Olivia for me for a few hours so she didn’t have to see her house being packed up and put into trucks. How do you explain something like that to a 3 year old without upsetting them? Thank goodness for Olivia’s bestie and her mama for stopping by for our last hugs good-bye… we are going to miss them terribly. Thank goodness for my husband’s childhood friend and his wife for stopping by with dinner so we were able to eat before our long drive to LA after spending all day moving. We had take out dinner on the floor in our bare living room in front of the fire and it was still so special. So bittersweet to say good-bye to everything familiar and safe and take on this next adventure. Thank you to all our friends and family who have supported us through all of this, it truly means the world to us… and for those who haven’t, we hope they come around eventually.
xoxo
