Comparison is the thief of joy. I’ve spent too m Comparison is the thief of joy. I’ve spent too much time this past year comparing my life to others highlight reels. It’s been such a hard year for me living abroad, in and out of quarantine, juggling 3 babies, missing my family. This adventure is nothing like we pictured but that’s ok. Sometimes life has a way of working out the way it was meant to be. This year I’m focusing on a few goals for myself...

** travel more. Even though we can’t leave Hong Kong, there is still so much here to see and do. Looking forward to more family adventures this year and sharing more of our day to day on IG

** workout. Getting back into shape will make me feel better and be a better version of myself mentally for my babies. Also drink lots more water.

** live in the present. I’ve spent too much time worrying about when life will return to normal and planning for the future that I haven’t enjoyed living in the moment as much as I should be

** post regularly. I realized it’s ok to spend a little time for myself on my phone each day for my own sanity. Being home alone with 3 littles is hard and having a little “me time” is important. Looking forward to sharing more of our time abroad and growing my blog this year

We were supposed to be flying back to the US this week to spend the holidays with family but due to covid restrictions we are staying in Hong Kong this year. I’ve been feeling so sad about it for weeks. This time of year is always tough living away from family but this year is especially hard since we haven’t been able to fly home in a year. At least we have sweet baby Weston to celebrate this year! Christmas with 3 littles will be magical ❤️ http://liketk.it/345ah #liketkit @liketoknow.it #StayHomeWithLTK #LTKbaby

It’s not at all what we planned when we decided to move to Hong Kong. We thought we’d be traveling around and really experiencing Asia. We’ve had to cancel so many trips this year including our trip back to the US for Christmas to visit family and it makes me so sad. I’ve been homesick for months and so ready to travel again. Where do you want to travel to when you can? We’re trying to visit Japan, Thailand, and Singapore and I can’t wait to make it back to Paris one day. #wanderlust #traveltheworld

DRESS: IsabellaOliver  |  SHOES:  Guess (mine are old), similar HERE or HERE  |  CLUTCH:  Clare V  (25% off right now with code MAINEVENT16!)  |  LIPS:  MAC in color Half Red  |  NAILS: OPI in color Lincoln Park After Dark

I am so thankful for Isabella Oliver for sending me this beautiful fitted dress from their new fall line. I have been a fan of their clothing my entire pregnancy. The quality and fit are top notch and really help you feel your best even when you don’t always feel so great haha! I was immediately drawn to this color and style dress. The length is classy and fitted and the color is just perfect for fall. It really is a great piece that can be styled so many different ways. I am wearing the size 1 (US size 4).  I actually planned on wearing my leopard pumps but being 9 months pregnant, they just don’t fit right now. I am still loving it with my favorite leopard clutch instead. By the way, if you’ve had your eye on this Clare V clutch now is the best time to buy! It rarely ever goes on sale but is part of the HUGE ShopBop yearly sale. Just use code MAINEVENT16 at checkout! I seriously use it ALL THE TIME!

I also wanted to mention Isabella Oliver’s new button campaign designed to help us pregnant mamas taking public transportation. Since moving to San Francisco this summer I rely on public transportation everywhere. There’s nothing more frustrating than being exhausted at the end of the day with swollen feet and someone on the metro not offering you their seat. It’s even more annoying when they pretend to be doing something on their phone or pretend to be asleep. I absolutely love this A SEAT WOULD BE NEAT campaign.  It’s a cute way to get the message out that we would appreciate a seat without having to ask. You can get one of these cute little buttons for free with any purchase from the new season collection. My personal favorite is the PLEASE MIND THE BUMP as it reminds me of our trip to London a few years ago. My hubby and I would get a kick out of the constant recording reminder when taking the tube around the city to “Please mind the gap” getting onto the London Underground (subway).

Anyhow, if you are pregnant and looking for some good quality maternity staples to build your wardrobe make sure to check out Isabella Oliver.  You will not be disappointed in any of their beautiful pieces!

xoxo
