We are soooooo excited to finally be able to share the news that we’re having a baby!! I still can’t believe it’s for real! We have waited 3 very long years for this day and have had so many ups and downs along the way. I must say everything we went through was worth it to get us to where we are today. I’m so thankful for this little miracle everyday. Good things really do come to those who wait.
This whole experience has been a life lesson for me. I am very type A personality wise… I am a planner, and a bit of a control freak at times. This journey has taught me patience and really pushed my faith. I truly believe everything happens for a reason even if we do not understand it at the time. We couldn’t understand for the longest time why things weren’t happening when we wanted them to. Obviously God has reasons for things happening the way they do even if we don’t see it at the time. One example of this is that I am 14 weeks, and my sister in law is at 24 weeks. Who would have ever thought we would be pregnant at the same time and having babies so close in age. Our pregnancies have brought us so close together and we talk just about every day. I really don’t know what I would do without her. We always say our little babes will be BFF’s. Sometimes I think this was all part of the master plan. Our family is just so excited to have 2 little babies in the family this year. Sharing the news with our friends and family have brought back all the amazing feelings my hubby and I went through when we first found out we were finally pregnant. I am trying to cherish every moment of this experience. I know there are a lot of women out there that will never get this chance and I am thankful every day I was blessed with this opportunity.
We had our pictures done by Andrea Berry Photography (http://www.andreaberryphoto.com/). If you are in the San Diego area make sure to check her out. She is absolutely amazing and captured this special day for us so perfectly. I already had in my head for so long how I wanted our announcement pictures to look. I wanted to go with very neutral, classic and timeless outfits. I found this gorgeous dress at Nordstrom after searching for hours and hours and hours online at all my favorite stores. I wanted something long enough that I could wear with heels and sit comfortably in for pictures. I feel like the dress does run a little small so make sure to size up if you are between sizes. It also comes in 3 other colors and would be perfect for spring/ summer parties, weddings, bridal showers, etc.
Thank you so much for reading about our pregnancy announcement. It’s such an amazing time for our family. I will be posting updates along the way and sharing my maternity style as well… if I ever get into maternity clothes haha! I will be doing a post soon on my first trimester. Thanks again for following along! I’m so excited for this next chapter 🙂
